Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions 

Who supervises the Volunteers?

All camp staff members are experienced adults who:

• Pass required background checks
  
  

• Complete CMG Connect Safe Environment Training
  
  

We maintain small staff-to-camper/volunteer ratios to ensure attentive supervision and a safe environment.

Who can volunteer?

We welcome rising 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students, as well as OLG school alumni, who are seeking service hour opportunities.

For the safety and structure of our program, no other student volunteers outside of these grade levels or alumni groups are permitted.

As for Parents and Guardians for safety, structure, and supervision purposes, parents and guardians are not permitted to remain with campers for the full camp day or extended care hours. 

What do we expect from our volunteers?

Volunteers must be responsible, dependable, and ready to actively support our camp environment. To ensure a safe and successful experience for all, volunteers should be able to:

• Follow directions and guidance from supervisors

• Interact with campers in a safe, respectful, and positive manner

• Willingly complete tasks as assigned

• Assist campers after receiving instructions without requiring constant supervision

• Work independently and manage responsibilities appropriately  

Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and well-organized camp experience, and our volunteers play an important role in making that happen!

Do volunteers need to fill out any forms to be turned in to the camp?

Yes, all volunteers must turn in a: 

• Photo Release form

If you are no longer a student enrolled at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, you must also fill out:

• Emergency Contact Form 

When Must Volunteers arrive, & When must they be picked up?

Volunteers should arrive promptly at 8:00 am for instructional time with our Camp Assistant. 

Volunteers must be picked up promptly at 3:00 pm. Those who are not picked up on time will be sent to Extended Camp Care. 

Do you offer extended care?

Yes. 

• Before Camp Care: Begins at 7:30 AM
  
  

After Camp Care: Available until 6:00 PM

Hourly Extended Care for Volunteers is $8.00 per hour. 

Late fees will apply to any children picked up after 6:00 pm at the rate of $5.00 per minute. 

** Please note that an hourly fee is charged after 20 minutes of care. 

OLG Summer Camp 2026 Volunteer Registration

Calling all Our Lady of Grace 6th,  7th, and 8th Graders and High School Alumni!

Our Lady of Grace Students going into 7th or 8th grade or OLG Alumni in High School may join in on summer camps by volunteering. It is a great time and a fun way to get service hours.

Lunch Option Cost: $ 45  a week  or  $ 9  per day 

Please Sign up for your lunch option two weeks before your volunteer dates to secure your order.

What's on the Menu:

• Mondays: Marco's cheese pizza with a side of apple sauce or fruit cup and dessert 

• Tuesdays: Mexican Cuisine, cheese quesadillas, chips & salsa, and dessert

• Wednesdays: Chick-fil-A 5-piece chicken nuggets or (Mac & Cheese for vegetarians) with a side of chips and dessert

• Thursdays: Elizabeth’s Pizza, buttered pasta with a side of apple sauce or fruit cup, and dessert

• Fridays:  Harris Teeter Ham & Cheese Sub (Cheese Subs for vegetarians) with a side of chips and dessert
