Julia Fergus

Summer Camp Director & Summer Camp Teacher

Julia Fergus is from Greensboro, North Carolina. In 2015, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Art with a minor in History from Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina. Ms. Fergus also holds the role of Director of Extended Care and Mini Camps at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. She has been a great asset working in our Extended Care program as a compassionate leader of our students, and her track record in hiring, training, supervising, coordinating, and managing staff make her an ideal Director. Julia also teaches Middle School Art and First Grade Religion at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School.

In her free time, Julia enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, photography, Art, reading, Salsa & bachata dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Prior to her current positions she worked as a Residence Hall Director from 2015 through 2018 at Greensboro College.

Janet Johnston

Assistant Camp Director

Janet Johnston was born and raised in a small town in Illinois. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a double major in Health Education and Physical Education. She started teaching Health and Physical Education in Illinois and after four years moved to North Carolina and began teaching in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She has coached volleyball, basketball and, track and has been an athletic director. She received her Masters in Education at UNC-Charlotte before moving to Cabarrus County. While teaching in Cabarrus County she received the National Board of Teaching Certification. She moved to Greensboro after meeting her future husband and taught in Guilford County Schools for 14 years. After 34 years of teaching, she retired a year ago. Janet came out of retirement to work in the Quest program this year and is looking forward to serving as Assistant Camp Director.

Bree Wilton

Volleyball Camp Coach

Breanna Wilton is from Oak Ridge, North Carolina. She went to high school at Northwest Guilford and played volleyball all 4 years. She then went on to play volleyball at Greensboro College for 2 years. Later she would transferred to East Carolina University to finish her Criminal justice Degree, and played club volleyball her last two years of college. Breanna coached the Junior varsity and Varsity team at Our Lady of Grace with a successful first place finish as the Varsity Volleyball PECSAA Champions for the 2021 season. In her down time she enjoys playing sand volleyball, hiking, and traveling.

Dennis Finnegan

Basketball Camp Coach

Coach Finnegan is a graduate of St John’s University in Queens, NY.

Coach Finnegan has been coaching youth basketball for over 30 years beginning in New York City with the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) leagues. In 1994 his family moved to North Carolina from New York and his three children attended Our Lady Grace School and were all student athletes for the Panthers.

Additionally, he coached for over 18 years with the Greensboro Lady Gaters, a girls traveling basketball program which represents Greensboro and surrounding areas. In 2006 the Lady Gaters placed 3rd at the DII National Championships in Branson, MO. This winning team included three OLG players.

He has conducted youth basketball camps for over 5 years with the goal of teaching basketball fundamentals, group camaraderie and athletic conditioning during a fun week of camp atmosphere.

His basketball philosophy includes is a strong emphasis on teaching basketball fundamentals, player conditioning and teamwork.

Provided the foundation for players to continue playing basketball at the high school level.
